01.Nov.2009 R.I.P. IV Challenge Wrap-up

rip4300

Today is the end of the fourth (and my first) R.I.P. Challenge and I’m happy to say that I’ve read 5 books out of the original 2 planned! I’m a slow reader and I don’t generally go for R.I.P. kinds of books, so that’s something! :)

Books I read:

  1. Snakes and Earrings by Hitomi Kanehara (urban gothic)
  2. Strangers by Taichi Yamada (ghost, mystery)
  3. A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens (ghost)
  4. Wicked by Gregory Maguire (dark fantasy)
  5. Dracula by Bram Stoker (gothic, vampire)

I initially thought If On A Winter’s Night A Traveler by Italo Calvino would qualify, but it’s definitely not an R.I.P. book. Out of the books I read, I enjoyed Wicked the most. My biggest disappointment was Strangers. All in all, it was great 2 months of spooky read! ETA: And I’m still reading the Woman in White now!

Thank you Carl for being such a wonderful host! I enjoyed it so much I’m already thinking what to read for next year R.I.P. muahahaa! *evil laugh*

rip4firstOfficially accomplished Peril the First. Woohoo!
