She’s so definitely charming in Enchanted. ;) I didn’t know she’ll be playing Alice! Cool! Another reason to look forward to the movie (not that we need more. It already looks so awesome)

Somehow I had missed Shawshank all this time. We just picked it up because my husband saw it in top 100 movies of the Empire magazine and wondered why we never heard of it. *shame* Now from the comments it sounds like everybody indeed has watched it!

That is so cute about you dressing as Elphaba! I’d love to see the picture! :D

Mee, I’m glad you enjoyed Julie and Julia. I saw it with a couple of friends and learned that they were also
bloggers! I’d like to see My Neighbors the Yamadas, but the next movie I see will probably be Tuesdays with Morrie.

I haven't seen Julie and Julia yet, but I loved Amy Adams in Enchanted! Don't you think she's just so charming in that movie? She'll be playing Alice Doherty in the latest remake of Alice in Wonderland :) .-= [Mark David´s last blog: Now You’re One of Us] =-.

Shawshank pops up on tv about once a year, and we always end up watching it. I usually hate to watch movies again, but this one always sucks me in.

I’ve never seen the musical version of Wicked, but I did wade through the book. I even dressed up as Elphaba for Halloween one year…and spent the whole day explaining who I was.

Oh wow you have read and watched all of them? That’s great! Wicked is the first Maguire book
that I read and so far it’s been pretty good. More complex that I expected. I do wish I could sit
longer to read it *sigh*.

I didn’t know the Yamadas existed too until I came across the trailer at a Studio Ghibli DVD. Apparently it didn’t do too well in Japan when it was first released. Looks like Takahata’s directed movies are always less popular than those of Miyazaki’s — probably because they’re more realistic (either in style or in content) while Miyazaki’s are wildly imaginative. I do have a soft spot for Takahata. I love his works as much as Miyazaki’s.
