I've seen Persepolis the movie (I saw the movie before I read the book) and I think it's as great as the book!

Thanks a lot! As a matter of fact I have read Maus ( a long time ago, Mr Gnoe has it), but Persepolis is a great idea! Haven't seen the movie (just parts of it) but of course I heard lots about it.

Hi Gnoe, I highly recommend the two awesome graphic memoirs that I read this year and last year: Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi and Maus by Art Spiegelman. Persepolis is a bit lighter in nature. The shorter ones: The Arrival by Shaun Tan, Ethel & Ernest by Raymond Briggs. Series to recommend: Fables by Bill Willingham, Bones by Jeff Smith. I posted reviews for all of them (you can use the search function for quick retrieval). The first three books I mentioned are all 5 stars for me! Hope you have a few to choose now! :)

Hi Mee,

I was wondering if you could recommend me any graphic novels for the October 24 hrs read-a-thon? It's a whole new genre to me but it seems like a good idea to get some for the change in variety. Of course I could read all your reviews... but that'll take some time and I hoped you could recommend some out of the blue?! If it's no trouble... :) Thanks!
