Charlene and Quinn, thanks for sharing your experience. As I didn’t read the book when I was in high school it’s hard for me to imagine what it’d be like if I did. It’s great to hear different views, especially from teens, which the book originally was intended for.

i just read this book today..at first..considering im in eighth grade and love talking about sex.i reat it because there was lots of sexual content..but afterward i got into it…i did read the whole book today..and the one i read..the second cover..was like 192 pages..i was really disappointed in Kath. Considering she just fell head over heals in love with him and just dumped him with the snap of her fingers..i mean he was willing to still give them a chance..at least thats the impression i got. but hey, it really gets you thinking..is it first love..or true love?

I am a teen myself and i read this book for a banned book project in my high school honors english class. I love this book and i haet that its banned. I think that is shows how teen do still feel. No matter what the year, teens go through the pains sex brings into our relationships. No matter what we do, kids are having sex. I think Blume did a great job of showing the risks and what not that come with making that choice in your relationship.
