Fast Forwarding

Feel like I’m fast forwarding my life these few days. I had about 1000 emails in my mail box (about 700 work emails and 300 personal emails), not including junk mails and group emails. It’s been 4 days for me to sort my mails, and I haven’t finished. I tried scan through them quicker, but again, it feels like fast forwarding, and I may miss some good bits or even some points completely.

This important thing in the company has changed, someone changed position, our game looks different, Nintendo DS-Lite is coming out, an old teacher is very sick, a friend from overseas has come to my city, these bills need to be paid, the movies in Cinema are not recognizable anymore, a big important game is going to be in the city, new series in the TV, an ex housemate is going to get married, the list continues…

Back to the Safe Land

I’m back! It’s sad that the trip has ended. On the other hand, it feels good to come back to country where you can drink water from the tap, has dry toilet with tissue that you can flush down the bowl, and has clean unpolluted air to breathe. Feels pretty good to be home too where everything is on its place and you don’t have to dig your big backpack to find.

See you a bit later, because I got a lot of life to catch up. 4 weeks is a long time to be away.

Footprints from Chiang Mai

Since my last post, I have:
- found out that I have severe allergy to a kind of insect
- bathed and fed elephants (I love elephants! I have heaps of stories about elephants in Thailand. Some sad ones… :( )
- found that Chiang Mai is a perfect city for holiday. My favourite of the ones I visited so far.
- visited human zoo
- taken a Thai cooking class. Yuumm.
- tried to find Tintin’s shirt but to no avail. Maybe Bangkok?
- bought a lot of stuff in night market in Chiang Mai. I am now wearing night market stuff literally from head to toe: hat, shirt, pants, slippers, ring, necklace, bracelet, bag. Okay, except my underwear. I’m like a walking night market fan. Have gone there for the past 3 nights in a row. I even know how to bargain with the sneaky Thai now >8)
- NOT learnt how to say thank you in Thai. Freakin difficult. Have been trying to learn it for 3 days. Hopefully I’ll get it tomorrow.
